Stone+tec, Nuremberg, Germany
IGEP regularly participates in Stone+tec, the international trade fair, and congress for natural stone and stone processing held biennially in the city of Nuremberg, Germany. The Stone+tec is a long-standing and successful trade fair forum for the natural stone industry. The participation from India is strong, with many leading stone and monument exporters participating in the fair.
Many international importers of stone from India visit the IGEP stall. Information is provided to the visitors about IGEP’s International Social and Environmental Standards (ISES 2020), which has been widely accepted by several Indian stone mining and processing companies.
Most of the trade visitors in Stone+tec – in particular stone masons, natural stone dealers, tile setters, garden designers, landscapers, and architects come to Nuremberg from the core catchment areas of Stone+tec, i.e. mainly from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland but also from other nearby European regions. During the previous two events held in 2024 and 2022, the IGEP pavilion has also provided European buyers with information about how Indian exporters are gearing up their operations to become compliant with the new German Supply Chain Law which was passed by the German Parliament on the 11th June 2021.
