Approach |
|
| |
To
effectively work with a large number of exporting companies and to
ensure maximum regional and sectoral coverage, IGEP follows a
three-circle and
three-level concept. |
THE
THREE-CIRCLE
CONCEPT
Companies
in each sector are divided into three groups according to their
ability to compete in the target markets. The most intensive tailor-made assistance is extended to the core group. This is the group that already has achieved a relatively high
degree of motivation, experience and financial capability to venture
into the hyper-competitive markets of Germany and EU.
Specific marketing assistance, direct contacts with the buyers,
product development advice, and supervision of on-going orders
including pre-shipment inspections are a few of the activities
carried out for this group. The assistance is continued till these
companies can operate independently without constant support of the
project. |
 |
The second-circle comprises the companies which, although reflect
high motivation, need more exposure and awareness of the market
requirements and consumer preferences. Companies in this group are
offered support by organising their group participation in
international trade fairs, through workshops and seminars, market
information, and through advice on development of first samples and
prototypes, etc. |
| The third circle is the largest group of companies, which are
offered information about the target markets and framework
conditions in order to prepare them for their entry into the second
circle, and eventually the core group.
THE
THREE LEVEL CONCEPT
Advice
and support is provided to the companies of the target group (micro
level). For making use of multiplier and spread effects and to
increase the efficiency of the advisory services provided for the
companies on micro level, close co-operation has been established at
the meso level with associations, chambers of commerce, and
institutes. |
 |
Qualified institutions of this kind are important actors for
carrying out promotional activities and programmes for the export
community. They also play a decisive role in influencing the
framework conditions according to the requirements of a liberal
trade system. Therefore, a permanent dialogue has been established
on macro level also with the concerned ministries in Germany and
India to deal with the economic framework conditions including
environmental and social aspects, as far as they have an impact on
export activities.
IGEP co-operates intensively with intermediary organisations to
ensure multiplier effects of its activities. In this context, it is following a new concept of institution building. |
