With the expansion of the European Union, Hamburg has again been set to its ancestral position in the heart of Europe. Hamburg’s advantageous position between the North and the Baltic Sea enables companies situated in Hamburg to keep not only the trade ties to “Old Europe”, but to explore the adjoining markets of Eastern Europe. Hamburg is thus “The Gate to the World” through its excellent ties to other countries and continents. |
